Despite her education in Tourism, Marcela's profesional career has always been linked with information technologies and the Internet.
In 2000 she founded Tarsis.net with Pedro Alcantara. Tarsis.net is an Internet company based in Spain but with a European and international approach. Its main goal was to work as a technological partner for international companies to succesfully reach the Spanish market through the Internet: website localization, SEO/SEM, e-mail marketing, etc. Over the years, this task has evolved to provide consulting services also to Spanish companies without loosing the international scope. Its customers regard the company as a technological support in an ever-changing on-line world.

I managed the maintenance of 3Com Iberia website, the adaption of corporate contents and the development of new on-line services. I was a member on behalf of Iberia (Spain and Portugal) of the 3Com European Webmasters Workteam. I also worked as coordinator of the translation into Spanish of all documents for the websites in Spain and Latin America.
