I have experience in the direction of an IT Department specially in Internet environments, considering both development and systems areas. In addition my technological background allows me to be creative in innovation and project management.

In this Internet company which belongs to the Bank of Santander, with educational and divulgative purposes for the university environment of 11 countries (Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Portugal, Mexico, Uruguay and Puerto Rico), I assume the task of IT Director in Spain.
The IT Department has approximately 15 people and is structured in 2 areas: development and systems. In the development area we create Internet projects internally and we subcontract the developments to another companies too, doing the opportune follow-up. In the systems area we take care of the stability of the platform in which we run almost 200 applications of all the Universia countries. We have more than 50 servers managed entirely by ourselves.
In addition, I collaborate actively in the development of international projects made in different countries of Latin America, taking part in the definition and launch.

I carried out functions of direction and coordination in international projects, planning times of delivery and collaborating in all the phases of development.
I led teams of 3-4 people with heterogeneous profiles (analysts, programmers, designers), taking responsibility in projects, principally under the Java platform, supervising development teams, taking decisions on hardware and software architecture and leading the definition, analysis, design, programming, testing and follow-up of Internet projects, created by our own or by another companies.
Besides the principal project in Spain, I collaborated in the launch of portals in the other countries, Alban (EU scholarships program), the Universia portals of employment and leisure and many more.
