Felipe Santos (Barcelona, 1970) is a graduate in Journalism of the University of Navarre and has a degree in National Defense by the University King Juan Carlos and the CESEDEN. Currently he attends the Program of Doctorate on International Security Studies in the Institute General Gutiérrez Mellado at UNED.
He has a professional experience of more than twelve years in the field of the strategic consultancy on institutional and corporate communications. He has served as an Adviser to the Office of the Prime Minister of Spain, to the Minister of Health and Consumer Affairs, and as a Director of Communications to the Royal Opera House in Madrid.
His professional career began as a journalist in the financial daily Expansion. He worked for Burson-Marsteller as Associate and Senior Manager in communications projects on corporate positioning and crisis communications for clients as Telefonica, Boeing, Alcatel, ExxonMobil, Barclays or Danone Group.
Felipe is a lecturer in Political Communication at Centro Universitario Villanueva, associated to the Complutense University of Madrid, and also in Public Diplomacy at the Master of Political and Institutional Communication of the Institute Ortega y Gasset. He teachs Media Relations at Madrid Police Academy.
He contributes regularly to Actualidad Económica and the cultural magazines Dosdoce.com and Nueva Revista de Cultura, Política y Arte, and is editor of the first blog in Spanish on Public Diplomacy: http://www.diplomacia-publica.blogspot.com/
