Carlos Rebate works as a Manager and CEO Adviser in Indra Software Labs. He is also the Chairman of the Accessible Technology Chairs that Indra has in collaboration with three Spanish Universities.
Carlos has a BSc in Computer Sciences and has successfully completed a Doctorate Programme in Advanced Artificial Intelligence (MSc), and a Doctorate Programme in Philosophy (Master of Philosophy on Indian thoughts). Combining his main interests, Computer Science and Philosophy, he is now conducting a twofold PhD research.
In 2001 he won the Innowatio Prize for innovation, awarded by Unión Fenosa.
Carlos has participated as an expert in a significant number of projects on accessibility for people with disabilities, e.g.: VISUAL [Voice for Information Society Universal Access and Learning (IST-2001-32495)], ENABLED [Enhanced Network Accessibility for the Blind and Visually Impaired (FP6-2003-IST-2-004778)], EU4ALL [European Unified Approach for Assisted Life Long Learning (IST-FP6-034778)] and ALPE [Accessible eLearning Platform for Europe (ETEN-029328)].
Current memberships include: Forrester, the Value Shore Working Group at the AEC (Spanish Association of Consultancy Companies) and the Future Leaders Team for Sustainable Development
Past memberships include: the Accessibility Working Group of AENOR (the Spanish Normalisation and Standardisation Body), INES (Spanish Initiative of Software & Services), eNEM, eMOV and eVIA (Accessibility and Independent Living)
He is fluent in English and is native Spanish speaker.
